May 4, 1778, Treasury of Virginia Colonial Currency, Ten Dollars, Printed Date, Thin Laid Paper “TYRANNIS” Arms Type, Choice Very Fine. Fr. VA-150a. A lovely well printed and centered Revolutionary War note with a clean appearance, sharp detail and full border designs shown at the margins. Uniface with a very clean reverse side. The signatures of L. Wood and James Wray are fully readable and clear. Tiny conservation to the top corner tips likely from prior hinging. Listed in Newman on page 449 valued then at $675 in Very Fine. |
