May 4, 1778, Treasury of Virginia Colonial Currency, Ten Spanish Milled Dollars, Thick Paper, Printed Date, with “TYRANNIS” Arms vignette, Choice Very Fine. Fr. VA-150b. A scarce “Thick Paper” type, pleasing evenly circulated 1778 Revolutionary War example with a clean well centered appearance including the blank reverse side. Fully signed by “L. Wood” and “Ja(mes) Wray”. An excellent example for any better quality Virginia Colonial Currency collection. Listed in the (2008) 5th Edition of Newman on page 449, with a value then of $675 in VF.
