1862 Civil War Encased Postage Stamp, EP-129, HB-214, S-158, Reed-SB10, Ten Cents, SCHAPKER & BUSSING, Evansville, Indiana, Choice Very Fine/Extremely Fine. Rated as Rarity-5 (21 to 30 known) according to Fred Reed. This example having no major defects or detractions other than from light circulation. The 1861 US Postage George Washington stamp is deep green the face lighter printed than normal. Its mica is clear and unbroken with a few craze areas and hairlines.
