EDMUND PHYSICK (1727-1804). Keeper of the Great Seal of the Colony of Pennsylvania; after the Revolutionary War's conclusion, Physick became the confidential estate agent of the Penn family for their holdings in Pennsylvania, he was also the father of Phillip Syng Physick (1768-1837), often called the "Father of American Surgery".

June 6th, 1770-Dated Pre Revolutionary War, Colonial period Partially-Printed Partial Receipt Form Signed, “Edmund Physick”, as the representative “for the Honorable the Proprietaries” (the Penn family), Fine. This document is fully executed, measuring 6.5" x 3", framed to fully 10" x 6.5". (Not inspected out of the frame). This rare Philadelphia “Current Money of Pennsylvania Purchase Money, Interest Quitrent Receipt for the Penn “Proprietaries” is intended towards the purchase of 277 acres on Loyal Lock Creek in Pennsylvania made on April 1769.
