1762-Dated Book, bound in Full Calf Leather. This book is incredibly rare. It measures about 6" x 3.5" and contains 168 printed pages, 100% Complete with its Six original religious Woodcut Illustrations intact. Expected wear from extensive use, minor tone and some corner chips or folds, yet overall clean and pleasing. The intense woodcut religious illustrations are exceptional and moving, having strong eye appeal. The typeset text is strong and clear being easily readable. The leather covers have some small loss of outer leather from wear and partially to the spine, yet still remains solid and completely intact.

An important decorative typeset Bookplate Tag that was printed by Benjamin Franklin & David Hall is located placed on the front inside cover. It measures about 1.25” x 2.25” being in choice well printed condition. This rare Tag printed for DAVID HALL was produced when Benjamin Franklin and David Hall were still partners, prior to Franklin selling his historic Philadelphia Print Shop to Hall. The Tag reads, in full: “Sold By DAVID HALL, At the New Printing-Office, in Market-Street, PHILADELPHIA.” This Tag was printed on Benjamin Franklin’s historic press while he still owned it and was actively publishing in Benjamin Franklin’s print shop. An exceedingly rare American sales connection for this important religious book from David Hall, who took over the Philadelphia print shop from Benjamin Franklin.
