April 10, 1777, Pennsylvania Colonial Currency, Three Pence. Plate C, Very Choice Crisp Uncirculated. Fr. PA-209. This crisp well centered note is printed in rich black and has full margins. Had the margins been a hari wider we would have called it Gem. The red signature of William Evans and its red serial number add color. The laid period paper’s watermark contains two rows of letters comprising part of the state name “PENNSYLVANIA.” |
