November 6, 1775, Colony of Rhode Island Colonial Currency, One Shilling, Ex: Ford, Choice Very Fine. Fr. RI-210. This well centered example of this uniface note that has clear typeset print, being fully issued, with both signatures of John Cole and John Dexter are well written and easily readable. A scarce 1775 early Revolutionary War issue that was most notes were to be redeemed by November 1, 1778 back to the treasury. The face side is particularly pleasing for this issue, the blank reverse showing some light soiling and a typical centerfold with some faint reinforcement at the left margin as shown.
