George Washington related Vintage Printed Display of Six historical facsimile items including an Oval Portrait of President Washington, Matted and Framed, Very Fine.
This scarce Printed Display shows Six different items in facsimile related to Washington and is the first we have encountered. No maker or place, possibly from the 1832 Centennial of Washington’s birth or 1876 Centennial era. The images show a 3.5” Oval Portrait at top titled “Pitcher Portrait of WASHINGTON”; below are the face and reverse of a Gold Washington Before Boston medal; at bottom left is shown an original Washington Book Plate; to the right a clip of “Col. Washington” and at bottom right an image of a Washington Calling Card. The print measures 11” x 9” (by sight) being matted and framed to fully 17” x 15” placed more recently under UV Plexiglas. The printed card has light even age tone from long-term display. The brown wooden frame shows appropriate nicks and wear.
