PHILIP H. SHERIDAN, (1831-1888). Union Army Major General who Commanded the Cavalry Corps of the Army of the Potomac; After the Civil War, he Waged War on the Native Americans During the Indian Wars of the Great Plains; was Commanding General of the U.S. Army from 1883 until his death in 1888 at age 57.

2. Carte De Visite with a sharp crisp Photograph of a seated General Sheridan in uniform, wearing his distinctive hat. Am original 2c Revenue stamp on the plain back, EF.

3. Also includes a colorful 1864 Song Sheet titled, "Sheridan's Ride" by Magee, measuring 5" x 7-7/8".
