Fr. NY-263, Harris H-16. Rated Rarity-7 in the Harris research. Rarely encountered and easily notable being specially Printed on heavy coarse Blue paper stock. Engraved printed script signature of “E Willett, Treasurer”. Printed by “C.R & G. Webster, Albany”. Two-Sided. Small size measuring 57mm x 47mm. This lovely quality note that faces up well with fresh blue color even over two centuries. “These are undervalued if placed in the context of municipal paper tokens,” wrote Bruce Hagen, the John Ford cataloger, thought the value realized in the Ford sale was substantial for such a historical piece of blue paper.
