Friedberg states: “All Issues From VA-1 to VA-61 Are VERY RARE or EXTREMELY RARE.” This Current Money of Virginia was from an Act of Assembly Passed June 8, 1757, Three Pounds, PCGS Banknote declaring this note “Choice” having the rare status of having “No Negative Comments or Qualifiers” Serial No. 22560. Falsely "Signed" by Peyton Randolph and R. C. Nicholas contemporarily Hand-penned "Forged" signed on the face and again on the blank back. Printer unknown, styled after the plates of William Hunter. Uniface, measuring 70mm x 60mm. Rare and Choice. The in-hand quality is substantial and it is easy to see how this note might have fooled many during its use in commerce. The Newman Plate Note for this issue illustrated on page 438 0f the 2008 5th Edition of THE PAPER MONEY OF AMERICA. No other note on this entire June 8, 1757 issue has been certified by PMG to date.
