Signed by Peyton Randolph and Ro(bert) C(arter) Nicholas. Printer uncertain. Uniface, measuring 85mm x 64mm. Its holder states net repaired, though no major repairs are apparent. This note is well centered with sharp printed details and strong deep bold brown ink signatures. Typical period notations and endorsements on the otherwise blank reverse. Only 1,700 notes were issued and then recalled in to the treasury by October 20, 1769. Certainly a premium high Condition Census Fr. VA-48 Five Pounds, worthy of significant bidding as it is the Second Finest PMG certified with only one finer VF-25. This current example is the Finest currently available.
