Friedberg states: “All Issues From VA-1 to VA-61 Are VERY RARE or EXTREMELY RARE.” PMG has not certified any Twenty Shillings note on this issue to date. Its details holder comments, multiple repairs, stains, designs redrawn (which seems overly critical). Serial No. 272. Boldly Signed by Ben(jamin) Waller and Phil(ip) Johnson in rich dark brown ink. Printer is uncertain. Uniface, measuring 87mm x 57mm. Given a solid endorsement from the original Ford auction cataloger the noted Bruce Hagen: "Very few notes from this emission exist at all, The condition is more than acceptable given the rarity." The corners are slightly rounded, the overall printing is inked somewhat light, yet the signatures and serial number are vivid inked bolder. An enchanting note, very likely the Finest Certified and a significant rarity as well.
