July 17, 1775, Virginia Five Shillings. PCGS Currency graded Very Fine-30.
Fr. VA-73a. The currency George Washington may have used. A handsome sharp looking 1775 Revolutionary War note issued only three months after the War began. Choice centering with fully readable typeset and penned elements. The holder comments repaired splits at center which is one vertical fold having a thin old fiber paper reinforcement on the blank reverse, not split. A nice looking note with bold printing and full signatures.
