Date as 177_(8) Hand-written date, no $10 emitted on the issue, likely due to the broken partial plate. Unsigned. Printer uncertain. Uniface, measuring 121mm x 85mm. Jumbo huge Margins on all sides and a beauty with just some faint wrinkles, and its incomplete heavy black printing. A note with a history behind it. Printed privately from the seized and partly broken plates that were evacuated from Richmond during the Civil War. Conservatively graded and very attractive. Provenance:
