Fr. VA-209a. The currency George Washington may have used. A $1,000 note is a testament to the raging inflation of using paper money during the Revolutionary War. This is an evenly circulated note of the highest denomination on this 1781 emission. The blank reverse is clean with some light tone which the holder states stained (which is too harsh), as shown.
