The original shank is straight and fully intact on a relatively clean even reverse yet an apparent ground find. The obverse is evenly micro-porous with a matte surface and is an even dark charcoal in color, yet the underlying design is fully visible including the outer rim denticles. The excellent original shank is typically broken off, so this is a far better example to own. A quite collectible example that will be more affordable to George Washington Inaugural Button collectors.
