August 8th, 1778, North Carolina Colonial Currency, Ten Dollars, “Persecution the Ruin of Empires” Motto, Gem Crisp Uncirculated.
Fr. NC-177b. This fresh clean bright crisp Revolutionary War North Carolina note has excellent centering both face and back with four full margins on both sides. The black typeset text is sharply printed by James Davis, and has impressive eye appeal provided by its bold red serial number and the colorful signatures of Joseph Armitage and Jesse Cobb. This Ten Dollars note is likely not improvable as the margin edges and corner tips are sharp as when originally cut from its original sheet.
